Addison Group (Los Angeles), in partnership with our health care management client near Downtown Los Angeles, seeks an Accounting Manager on a direct hire basis.
Job – The hired Accounting Manager will support the accounting team by reporting on all the company’s properties. You will make sure proper accounting processes for various tasks are functioning properly. You will supervise a team of accountants to support you. The hired Accounting Manager will also perform some tax duties to provide tax guidance to relevant parties.
You will report to the Controller.
Job Site Status (Remote/Mixed/Onsite) - This role has an 100% onsite status.

Compensation/Benefits– Salary range for this role is $100,000-$120,000/year. The firm offers standard benefits (health insurance, 401k match, sick leave days, and vacation), and periodic taco truck visits (food paid for by the company).
DUTIES OF THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER
General Ledger (G/L) Accounting
· Prepare financial statements for corporate and real estate entities, including monthly financial closes and accounts balance reconciliations.
· Post and review journal entries.
· Review Balance Sheets and Income Statements of each operation to analyze the performance and cash flow streams of each entity.
· Reconcile intercompany transactions.
· Consolidate financial statements.
Medicare and Medi-Cal Accounting
· Oversee preparation of Medicare and Medi-Cal cost reports by an external firm
· Manage all Medicare and Medi-Cal audits.
Financial Reporting
· Prepare financial reports for upper management.
Tax
· Prepare year end audit and tax schedules.
· Work with accounting firms to verify accuracy of tax returns.
· Assist in all internal and external audits, including personal property tax returns and city tax returns.
Miscellaneous
· Accept other ad hoc duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER
Required
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration with an Accounting focus, or equivalent experience
· At least five (5) years of Accounting Experience
· Current or prior employment at a company with at least $50 million in annual revenues
· Consolidations experience.
Preferred
· Current or prior employment at a health care/medical practice company
