Title: Donor Acquisition Drivers and/or Movers (Warehouse Associate)
Reports to: Executive Director
Hours: Part-time – approximately 25-30 hours/week, full time potential after 3 months.
Approximate schedule: Tuesday- Wednesday-Thursday 8:00 AM – 4:00PM, Fridays as needed, occasional Saturdays may be required. Hours may increase to full time when pick up demand increases.
Wage: $15-17 an hour/ based on experience.
Broad Overview:
As a Donor Acquisition Driver and/or Mover (Warehouse Associate), you will play a crucial role in the success of our agency by working directly with our donors to accept material donations whether onsite or during offsite pick-ups. Your primary responsibilities include safely locating potential material donors, accepting and declining items, moving and load items into the box truck and ensuring that donated items meet our agency's standards. By representing the agency positively and professionally, you will contribute to expanding awareness of the mission of the Mustard Seed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Route Navigation and Material Donation Acceptance:
· Utilize maps, routes, and receipts to locate potential material donors promptly.
· Demonstrate the ability to accept, decline, and handle trying situations tactfully and professionally.
· Safely and respectfully remove material donations from the donor's location, handling items with care during loading and unloading at various locations and our warehouse.
· Assess donations to ensure cleanliness, working order, and absence of rips, tears, stains, animal hair, and pests.
Documentation and Communication:
· Provide receipts for donations along with a copy of our promotional card.
· Professionally communicate with donors when items do not meet our mission or requirements, offering to take them to the curb if necessary and approved by the donor.
· Track and account for mileage and time during all trips
Warehouse Organization:
· Ensure donations are prepared and placed in their designated warehouse location.
· Assist with warehouse maintenance and cleaning.
· Assist with furniture cleaning and prep for clients.
· Assist with all aspects of warehouse operations as needed.
Vehicle Maintenance:
· Maintain the truck by monitoring gas levels, performing appropriate fluid checks, and communicating any needs to the Executive Director.
Professional Presentation:
· Present yourself in a professional manner, demonstrating good verbal and interpersonal skills.
Special Collections/Events:
· Assist with special collections/events throughout the year.
Team Collaboration:
· Work in cooperation with other staff members of the agency.
Meeting Attendance:
· Attend applicable staff meetings as scheduled.
Additional Duties:
· Perform other necessary and related duties as assigned.
· Delivery and pick up of goods to clients or local partners.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Clean driving record with experience driving a box-style truck.
· Ability to lift 50-65 lbs overhead.
· Clear and professional communication skills.
· Willingness to expand the mission of the Mustard Seed Furniture Bank.
· Knowledge of interacting effectively with donors, staff, and volunteers.
· High School/GED equivalent.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
