Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Prepare and maintain daily cash and cash projection report sent to management. Reconcile all monthly bank reconciliations for all entities.
2. Prepare and review monthly general ledger reconciliations and analysis for all balance sheet accounts.
3. Prepare, enter, and post journal entries as needed.
4. Help with month end closing and year end closing process.
5. Have experience working with multiple companies and knowledge of reconciling intercompany accounts.
6. Prepare and submit tax filings including sales tax, tangible, etc.
7. Must have understanding and experience with physical inventory cycles, including valuation methods, variance analysis, adjustments, write-offs.
8. Must have understanding and experience with fixed assets, including additions, disposals, sale of assets, depreciation methods, etc.
9. Prepare, develop, and/or analyze various financial reports for use by management.
10. Assist in gathering of information for annual financial audit and preparation of audit schedules.
11. Have experience with job costing and construction accounting concepts. Understand and prepare a work in progress schedule.
12. Strong understanding of GAAP and have strong research skills.
13. Must have an understanding of financials statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows.
14. Maintain fundamental understanding of all general accounting systems and functions, and continually evaluate processes and look for opportunities to improve.
15. Maintains financial information, files, and records to ensure the availability of documentation and compliance with established polices and regulatory guidelines.
16. Protect the company’s value by keeping information confidential. Ensure that confidentiality of data collected and stored is maintained.
17. Assist various departments with research or support questions (i.e. human resources, etc.)
18. Ability to work with staff at all levels including field and service personnel in the company.
19. Complete any other tasks or special projects requested by CFO and Controller.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Masters Degree preferred
· Construction accounting industry experience preferred
· Prior experience as a controller of at least 5 years in a professional office/construction company environment.
· Public Accounting experience is a plus

· Vista Viewpoint Accounting Software experience a plus

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
