Behavioral Health Supervisor
TEAM is looking for a Behavior Heath Supervisor to provide support to counseling staff and assistance with case management of clients receiving services. You will assist counselors with assessment, planning, coordination of care, and advocacy on behalf of individuals that are experiencing major life problems.

As a Behavioral Health Supervisor, you will be required to engage in the on-call rotation which will include assisting with after-hours crisis situations and onsite interventions. This position will be approximately 75% Team leadership and 25% Clinical responsibilities.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
· Provide supervision to counseling staff
· Assist with case management of clients receiving services
· Lead weekly Clinical meetings
· Provide ongoing training to staff
· Provide trainings and workshops to clients
· Provide counseling services within the scope of the client’s plan contract at request of leadership
· Assist with crisis calls and provide crisis intervention.
· Collaborate with TEAM’s Patient Advocacy Program to ensure clinical care coordination and support following a difficult diagnosis.
· Provide evaluations for clients referred on a mandated/formal basis by employers or unions and communicate per TEAM guidelines with referents regarding compliance with recommendations.
· Provide professional management consultation to stakeholders for accounts (i.e. HR, Safety Manager, Business Agent etc.).
· Facilitate referrals/appointments with best-in-class providers and support clients/patients through ambivalence and motivation.
· Conduct behavioral health utilization reviews. Review and assess cases for eligibility, benefits and limits, medical necessity, and ongoing appropriate level of care.
· Initiate outreach calls, conduct needs assessment and provide case management services.
· Establish knowledge of clients/patient’s health benefits/coverage/ payer information to ensure proper referrals.
· Act as liaison and coordinate with community provider(s) to create action plan of care and transition /discharge plan for clients. Gain knowledge of community programs and resources available to clients/patients within their benefit plan.
· Discuss cases that do not meet medical necessity criteria/utilization concerns with care team members and Clinical Supervisor.
· Maintain confidentiality of information obtained in the performance of duties.
· Attend weekly clinical meetings, staff meetings, developmental activities and 1:1 meetings with CEO
· Participate in required educational programs and actively demonstrate self-directed learning and continuing education to enhance professional development in areas of licensure and as pertaining to role/responsibilities.
· Knowledge and Acquisition of Community Referral Sources
· Compile and build network of community resources.
· Provide updated referral and resource information changes to staff and/or input information into EAP software.
· Explore new providers with assistance of Care Coordinator for certain geographic locations and specialty services as needed.
· Account Service Management
o Assist in design and deploy onsite trainings/presentations for TEAM accounts.
o Assist in account services and make contact with accounts to serve as representative of TEAM.
o Provide Critical Incident Stress Management services.
o Promote TEAM services at account functions such as benefits fairs, open enrollment, and other account programs or conferences.
· Personal and Organization Development
o Participate in continuing education programs and certifications.
o Maintain professional degrees and credentials.
o Continued knowledge of new developments within the industry, including but not limited to, the mental health fields of psychiatry, social work, marriage, family therapy, and chemical dependency.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

To perform the job successfully, an individual should have the following qualifications:
· Education/Experience:
· Degree in corresponding field with active license to provide mental health and substance use disorder clinical services.
· 3 or more years’ experience providing counseling services. Experience leading teams and providing supervision essential to success in this role.
· Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Advanced computer and internet navigation skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, and electronic health keeping software.
· Flexible in handling after-hours crises.
· Work effectively with cross-cultural situations. Work well under pressure. Work effectively with various departments, internal and external staff, facilities, clients, clients’ families, and providers to facilitate quality and efficient client care.
· Data Collection Accuracy
· Maintain accurate case notes that reflect correct dates of services and chart the data from the session, evaluation, and plan.
· Maintain accurate records of time spent in direct service to clients/patients and peripheral services such as checking collateral or researching appropriate referrals.
· Internal data collection requests designed to promote analysis of company resources and needs.
· Ethics Adherence
· Know and carry out all duties of mandated reporting for state and federal statutes.
· Adhere to HIPAA regulations for client records and confidentiality, and accurately represent their training, credentials, and competencies.
· Inform clients of rights and limits of confidentiality.
· Apply TEAM organizational and department values (Mission / Vision / Initiatives) and continuous quality improvement in daily work.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $82,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
