Program & Location: New Bedford Office (Travel Required)
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Pay Rate: Starting at $23/ hour (education & experience dependent)
Status: Full Time
Shift: Monday - Friday, 9AM - 5PM
This position supports users and technology in multiple locations in Southeastern Massachusetts. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to remote sites are essential. Position includes mileage reimbursement.

High Point & Affiliated Organizations is a health and human services agency whose mission is to treat and prevent substance use disorders and mental health conditions. High Point has programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. The Help Desk Coordinator is the first line of contact for employees submitting technical work requests. Help desk is expected to work with employees by gathering information about their technical issue while maintaining an excellent level of customer service. Help desk will work closely with Support technicians and administrators to triage, diagnose and schedule work for requests. Help Desk will also assist in computer and device repairs and configurations. High Point’s I.T. team is 100% in house and we do not outsource any work. This position would be good fit for anyone wanting to break into the Information Technology workforce. As part of our team there will be plenty of opportunities to assist and learn about all aspects of technology in the medical and clinical fields.
Responsibilities
- Triaging work requests submitted by phone and Zendesk ticket system.
- Working with employees to gather a technical description of their concerns.
- Assisting employees with the use of the Zendesk self-help portal.
- Troubleshooting Minor technical issues.
- Creating, deactivating and maintaining employee user accounts.
- Assisting with employee password resets.
- Maintaining employee self-help portal.
- Maintaining Department stock and inventory.
- Other responsibilities or assignments as needed.
Skills and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a technical field or call center is a plus.
- Must be able to prioritize and assign work based on priorities.
- Must have a strong working knowledge of using and maintaining windows operating systems.
- Working knowledge of basic network connectivity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Excellent time management.
- Detail oriented.
