Purpose of the Job:
The Lead Teacher of dReam Kids Academy is responsible for providing early childhood education to children between the ages of 6 weeks to 4 years old. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for children and a strong commitment to education. Additionally, this individual must possess a growth mindset and have the ability to adapt to changing conditions and rapidly assess the needs of young children.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop lesson plans and programs for applicable age groups; ages 6 weeks – 4 years, and after school.

Manage a busy classroom environment, and provide the structure and discipline required for successful learning.

Help children meet educational milestones through personalized instruction and other supplementary assistance.

Observe and evaluate students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.

Collaborate with other teachers, instructors, and staff members to create an optimal learning and care environment.

Provide helpful feedback to parents and guardians on a regular or as-needed basis.

Work with diverse populations of children and adults from a wide variety of backgrounds.

Contribute to the overall care of the childcare facility to ensure compliance, safety, cleanliness and proper classroom ratios.

Monitor supply inventory to ensure that necessary items are always well-stocked.
Adhere to all documented requirements for students such as dietary restrictions, medical conditions, and all other critical data.

Proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as relevant software applications.
Qualifications:

CDA, or Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field such as Psychology or Social Work.

3 + years of experience in an early childhood setting.
-
First Aid/CPR Certification and willingness to complete 10 hours of annual training.
