General Responsibilities:
The Arborist/Sales Representative (Sales Rep) sells tree services, and Plant Health Care services to residential, commercial, and municipal customers. This Arborist Sales position involves creating/building relationships with new and existing clients to assess their horticultural needs and performs property inspections. The Arborist Sales Rep must be knowledgeable and experienced with tree care, hazard tree evaluation, integrated pest management and industry approved tree care practices. This position also involves estimating time/cost for field teams to perform tree removal, pruning, cabling, and all other Cutting Edge services. Key priority is proposing and developing sales to existing clients and cultivation new customers in the territory.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Meeting with customers to discuss their tree projects.
- Taking residential customer leads and converting them into sales.
- Managing relationships with your customers.
- Daily Warm Calls (ie. follow-ups with past customers, outstanding proposals, etc)
- Sales training/Sales meetings participation (weekly, monthly)
- Daily tracking of sales activity.
- Project managing for your customer’s projects.
- Networking.
- Assisting with government bids.
- Assisting with commercial/HOA accounts.
- Anything else your Sales Manager needs help with.
Optimal (Preferred) Qualifications and Skills:
- 2+ Years sales experience
- 2+ Years arboriculture experience
- Regional dendrology
- Drivers license
- Transportation to and from work
- Must be coachable
- Good attitude
- Work ethic
- ISA Certified Arborist
- Higher education/Degree in the green industry
- Licensed Applicator or PHC Experience
