Facilitates the educational activities of staff aimed at role competence and proficiency under the supervision and guidance of the Staff Development Manager. Will use knowledge and skills in education theory, application and program management to support staff development. New employee orientation, staff development, and continuing education for staff in accordance with regulatory agencies. Administrates the online learning management system, (Healthstream), to include authoring, maintenance, tracking, reports, and course assignment requests. Training Center Coordinator for American Heart Association (AHA). This includes instructor oversight, program management and instruction, and issuance of cards according to AHA standards. will be required to become BLS/ACLS/PALS instructor certified and teach staff.. Staff training relative to the organization's strategic plan, Performance Improvement and Accreditation Agencies Create and update student and educational policies for the Medical Center.Work with Department managers and clinical coordinators to educate staff on evidenced based practices, new processes and in-services on new equipment. Assist in developing a graduate nurse residency program.
The Staff Educator provides staff development expertise as an educator, consultant, facilitator, change agent, leader and researcher. Responsibilities include staff development and continuing education for staff in patient care areas to enhance ongoing clinical competency. Assisting Healthstream authoring, maintenance, and course assignment requests. Coordination and facilitation of continuing education programs, clinical certifications, and staff simulations. Assistance with American Heart Association training center responsibilities. Staff training relative to hospital goals, performance improvement, and regulatory agencies. Works collaboratively with infection control and occupational health will be required to assist in both areas when necessary

3-5 years in a clinical care area with direct patient care experience or in a clinical educator role
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Computer proficiency and knowledge of MS Office AND/OR Google Drive
Strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrated leadership qualities and skills
