Patient Care Coordinator/Receptionist
Thrive Chiropractic is seeking a part time Patient Care Coordinator to join our team.
This position will be 15-20 hours per week with occasional additional hours for vacation coverage as needed.
The schedule would be Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 12:30pm-5:45pm. Fridays could potentially be an option if interested, and that would be 9am-12:30pm.
This role requires a high level of customer service skills to enhance positive relationships with patients, coworkers, and others.
The Patient Care Coordinator is the face of the clinic and the first point of contact for patients visiting or calling the clinic. The right person will have a cheerful, helpful, and welcoming disposition as well as strong attention to detail and expert organization skills. The ability to prioritize effectively and pivot from task to task efficiently are key for this role. A patient, optimistic and encouraging personality is necessary to succeed in the Patient Care Coordinator position.
This role supports all team members to help deliver the ideal experience to our patients and works collaboratively on managing schedules, taking payments, tracking visits, and promoting services and specials in the clinic.
DUTIES:
- Greeting and checking in patients
- Handling incoming calls
- Scheduling appointments
- Effectively communicating various payment options to patients
- Taking payment and reconciling daily balance
- Entering information into patient’s charts
- Verifying insurance and completing insurance authorizations
- Reviewing schedules to identify patients who have fallen off their care plan, contacting them to schedule, and encouraging consistent care for best results
- Promoting specials and events and assisting with various marketing needs
- Other duties include clinic cleaning, laundry management, and inventory tracking
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong customer service skills with a cheerful disposition, tact, discretion, and good judgement.
Ability to remain courteous and professional under busy or high-pressure situations.
Proficient computers skills, ability to efficiently navigate multiple windows and programs.
Punctuality - Ability to be on time for scheduled shift and maintain regular attendance
Ability and willingness to learn and apply new skills. Receptive to feedback.
Attention to detail. Able to maintain accuracy with scheduling, documentation, data tracking and money handling.
Ability to work as a team member, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers and patients.
Ability to work independently, to organize and prioritize work and demonstrate agility and adaptability.
REQUIRED:
High School diploma or equivalent. Post High School education helpful.
Previous reception or front desk experience.
Experience working with EMR’s, scheduling systems and insurance is beneficial, but not necessary. Personality is more important than experience. We will train the right person for the role.
