Job Summary:
The Route Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company's routes. This role ensures that deliveries are made on time, routes are optimized for efficiency, and customer satisfaction is maintained. The Route Manager will work closely with drivers, safety department, customers, and maintenance department to streamline operations and improve service quality.
Schedule:
7am-5pm M-F
8am-12pm some saturdays
Key Responsibilities:
Route Planning and Optimization:
- Develop and implement efficient delivery routes.
- Adjust routes based on traffic patterns, weather conditions, and customer needs.
- Use routing software to analyze and improve route efficiency.
Driver Management:
- Supervise and support a team of drivers.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.
- Address any issues or concerns raised by drivers promptly.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
Customer Service:
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to delivery services.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
Logistics Coordination:
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure timely loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate with the supply chain team for replenishment.
- Manage delivery schedules and ensure deadlines are met.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Maintain records of delivery operations, including route performance and driver productivity.
- Generate reports and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement corrective actions based on data analysis to enhance route efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, transportation, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in route management, logistics, or a related field.
- Experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in routing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid driver’s license.
- CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) may be required, depending on the company.
Working Conditions:
- The position may require working early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Physical ability to load and unload products as needed.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 – 50 per week
