1. Leadership & coordination of all aspects of QA/QC to ensure successful execution of active projects, including…
a. Active cross-functional meeting participation
b. Following up of all relevant project actions
c. Addressing QA/QC challenges & issues, particularly related to non-conformance
d. Responsible for all QA/QC project document submittals
e. Communication & report to relevant QA/QC management & personnel
2. Quality Control, supporting inspection activities.
a. Where relevant and applicable provide technical insight for Weld, NDE and Protective coating inspection.
b. Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, inspection procedures and any special inspection requirements to become thoroughly familiar with assignments.
c. Check for conformance to drawings, quality of workmanship, and general specification requirements. Assure that deviations from drawings or specifications are properly addressed in accordance with the company’s non-conformance program.
3. Quality Assurance, supporting customer order execution:
a) Review customer specifications, documents, and drawings to establish quality requirements and assure that they are within our company’s capabilities and practices.
b) Provide feedback to sales, project management, and execution team of any special requirements.
c) Support and engage customers and other stakeholders in achieving quality requirements and objectives.
4. Continual Improvement
d) Lead/utilize/participate in problem solving program (RCA/PDCA/8D/CAPA)
e) Support data analysis and trending
f) Support KPI review and reporting
5. Maintain Quality Management System support.
a. Support updates of IMS and other system to achieve ISO certification.
b. Support conducting and reporting of internal & external audits.
c. Support quality programs and tools (NCR, CAPA, CCRP, etc.)
6. Other quality related tasks:
a. Conduct supplier quality evaluations. Work with purchasing in reviewing and qualifying suppliers to meet our requirements.
b. Review and approve material requisitions that require material certifications and/or test reports and establish receiving inspection requirements.
c. Prepare quality control procedures and review shop routings procedures to establish appropriate control of methods and practices and to ensure product quality and requirements are met.
d. Review non-conforming work or material and establish acceptability of the disposition and corrective action on a timely basis.
7. Review contract quality records and establish completeness, accuracy, and acceptability. Compile quality records for the customer, when require.
8. Help customer and authorized representatives in their review of products being fabricated. Coordinate and schedule customer inspections.
9. Implement and update quality inspection documentation.
10. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Required Skills Combination of skills, not all inclusive
· Weld NDE Level I, II, or III (PT, MT, UT)
· Certified Weld Inspector (CWI)
· Has visual weld assessment experience.
· AMPP CIP level 1 or Level 2 (Protective Coatings Inspection)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Equivalent of four years in high school., A.A.S. Degree or comparable work experience of 2-4 years including Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control
· Familiarity with nondestructive examination principles and procedures and AWS D1.1 and ASME standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58,459.00 - $60,000.00 per year
