The job placement coordinator will assist clients in reintegration into the job market. The coordinator will provide all key tools to serve as a liaison between job seekers and hiring employers. The coordinator will provide all assistance necessary to clients to efficiently fill openings within their job parameters.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday
- 11:30am-8:00pm (EST)
Compensation: $19-20 /hr
Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains working relationships with clients, maintaining an ongoing understanding of employers’ staffing needs and best practices to apply
- Develops and maintains a database of potential job applicants; interviews potential job applicants to gather information about educational background, interests, abilities, work experience, and job preferences through zoom calls
- Provides outplacement services.
- Establish a directory of resources for job opportunities
- Maintain accurate records of all contacts, activities and outcomes
- Help build clients resumes and apply for jobs
- Prepare clients for interviews and provide guidance on follow-up (mock interviews, training, presentations, workshops, etc.).
- Build relationships with companies who provide 2nd chance employment
- Follow up with clients to maintain rapport with job seeking skills
- Create and develop public relations materials, brochures, newsletters, flyers,
- bulletins, and surveys to promote the program within the sober living housing
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Computer, webcam, and high-speed internet to perform the required job duties
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good understanding of resume writing and interview techniques
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Friendly demeanor and patient
- Familiar with SUD programs, preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Previous experience in talent management preferred.
- Is sensitive to religious, ethnic and cultural differences in others and show respect and empathy.
- Can work alone, but also as a team with fellow staff in the business setting and actively seek out advice and/or guidance to solve problems
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
