Children's Learning Place is looking for individuals passionate about working and helping with the development of children from 6 weeks old to 6 years old. The positions we are focusing on at the moment are Assistants for our CLP Bucktown and CLP Logan Square schools

Shift Details
- Assistants Monday through Friday and approximately 30 to 35 hours a week; approximately 11:00am to 6/6:15pm
- DCFS and Health Department requires physical, TB test, proof of MMR vaccines and T-dap on the DCFS form (if hired, will go over paperwork)
Qualifications:
Per DCFS: (a)Early childhood assistants shall meet the requirements of Section 407.100, with the exception of subsection. (b) Early childhood and school-age assistants shall have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate (GED).
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following
- Help ensure a safe and loving environment for the children’s benefit and for the parents’ peace of mind.
- Assist teachers with both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.
- Assist in supervision on all children at all times
- Responsible for observations to the Teaching Strategies
- Responsible for working with the teacher to create, lesson plans, newsletters, classroom plans
- Maintaining a clean, safe and healthy environment
- Assist in preparation, serving and clean up for breakfast, lunch and snack
- Assist with all difficult situations...ex potty training, positive disciplining
- CPR/First Aid
- Must participate in 15 hours of in-service training or off site training per calendar year.
