Neurotech is looking for an EEG Technologist to work based from our office in Warren, MI. Neurotech is the nation’s leading provider of monitored Ambulatory EEG testing and cEEG monitoring. Location: Warren, MI
Schedule: Part Time or Full-time, ability to set your own schedule.
Wage: Paid per EEG, earn up to $400 per day.
Position Summary: The individual seeking this position will be working independently, performing routine and ambulatory EEG set ups in the greater Detroit area. Ideal candidate possesses outstanding organization, communication, trouble shooting, technology and patient care skills, is a team player, maintains confidentiality, and is comfortable working independently. Candidates must meet criteria listed in ASET’s “National Competency Skill Standards for Performing Electroencephalogram” and independently perform duties and responsibilities for encephalography, recognize clinically significant events and follow company policy regarding critical test results.
Technologist responsibilities include:
· Scheduling in-home ambulatory EEGs and routine EEGs, coordinating equipment.
· Driving to patient’s homes to perform ambulatory EEG hookups.
· Taking an accurate and detailed patient history.
· Performing routine EEG in physician’s office and in patient’s homes using international 10-20 system.
· Coordinating pickups of equipment.
· Performing fixes when needed.
· Cleaning and sterilizing EEG equipment.
· Uploading and transferring data to secure server.
· Scanning, annotating and clipping EEG (R. EEG T only).
· Troubleshooting equipment or patient issues, as necessary.
· Ordering EEG supplies as per the company’s guidelines.
· Participating in on-call rotation.
Education and experience:
· Graduate of accredited neurodiagnostic program or associate degree on the job trained, experienced technologist
· Eligible for ABRET EEG boards, or have R. EEG T credentials.
· Minimum of 2 year of work experience in EEG.
· Technology savvy.
· CPR certification required.
· Driver’s license required.
