Overview:
The Laboratory Operations Project Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of initiatives within our existing laboratories such as expansion of facilities and implementation of new test offerings in addition to supporting Revenue Cycle, Quality and Account Management efforts. This position may also be involved with implementing new laboratories by assisting our lab development team. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and directing the completion of specific laboratory projects and expansions while ensuring these projects are on time, on budget, and within scope.
The Laboratory Operations Project Manager will be familiar with laboratory practices and procedures and work with multiple departments within Unified, as well as external reference lab partners, to achieve our goals. The Laboratory Project Manager establishes clear ownership for the project tasks and leads problem solving to achieve maximum results.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate testing implementations and laboratory expansion requirements with other Laboratory Operations team members.
- Monitor and track project plan to keep on expected timeline by managing changes to the project scope/schedule/costs and report/escalate issues or delays to the laboratory leadership team.

Participate in Revenue Cycle, Quality, Account Management and Lab Committee meetings by recording action items and distributes minutes across our existing lab markets.

Work with internal and external stakeholders to successfully onboard new care centers and markets through our integrations process.
- Develop and maintain Playbooks for various laboratory processes.

Travel to potential new and existing laboratory locations as needed.

Conduct meetings and coordinate internal resources/third party vendors for laboratory implementations and projects.

Partner with laboratory regions to ensure all needs and requirements for implementation are met.

Assist the Lab Development team with implementation of new laboratories.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.

Minimum 2 years’ experience as project manager.

Project Management Certified.

Healthcare/laboratory/construction experience.

Laboratory Information System (LIS) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience.

Computer Networking skills.

Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.

Ability to troubleshoot and be a critical thinker.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management software programs.
