The Ottawa Dental Laboratory, founded in 1937, is a family owned and operated business located in Ottawa, IL, and is seeking candidates for the position of Full-time CAD/CAM Case Planning Specialist at our Ottawa, IL locations.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and overseeing dental cases utilizing CAD/CAM technology and digital scanners. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and quality of dental prosthetics and restorations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the workflow of dental cases from initial intake to final production, ensuring all specifications and timelines are met.
- Collaborate closely with dentists to understand case requirements and provide expert guidance on digital solutions. Participate in case planning meetings to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Work directly with dentists to troubleshoot complex cases, offering solutions and adjustments to achieve the best possible results.
- Oversee the use of dental lab digital scanners to capture accurate 3D images of dental impressions, ensuring high-quality data for case planning.
- Conduct thorough reviews and quality checks of IOS scans from the dentist to ensure they meet industry standards and patient needs.
- Work closely with dental technicians and other team members to understand case requirements and provide expert guidance on digital solutions.
- Provide technical support and training to team members on the use of CAD/CAM technology and digital scanners.
- Maintain detailed records of all case plans, designs, and modifications. Generate reports on case progress and outcomes.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in digital dental technology and recommend improvements to enhance workflow and product quality.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a dental lab or dental practice setting.
- Previous experience as a dental assistant or hygienist is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Schedule: Monday through Friday; 7:30am to 4:00pm
