Position Overview:

Qualifications:
- Education: Master's Degree in Speech and Communicative Disorders.
- Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Experience: Previous experience in a school setting is required.
- Licensure: Must hold a valid SLP license in Michigan and all required state credentials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Parental Contact: Maintain ongoing communication with parents to help them understand their childs abilities, progress, and future goals.
- Consultation: Collaborate with diagnosticians, classroom teachers, related service therapists, students, and parents to ensure appropriate evaluations, modifications, and test administration.
- Time Management: Efficiently schedule time for assessment, instruction, planning, preparation of materials, travel, and conferences with relevant school personnel and stakeholders.
- IEP Development: Contribute to the development of the IEP, including goals, modifications, and learning styles.
- Liaison Role: Act as a liaison with other agencies in the vocational assessment process.
- Training Programs: Provide in-service training for school personnel and students, and educate parents on the needs of speech-impaired students and available adaptations, programs, and services.
- Testing Materials: Obtain modified standardized testing materials and assist in test administration as needed.
