Immediate, career opportunity for a Sr level Structural Engineer/PM with a well established Engineering firm in Milwaukee (near downtown 3rd Ward). The Project Manager will serve as the day-to-day project lead once the design phase begins maintaining control of the project through the completion of construction and work with other structural engineers, project designers, principals, and structural technicians to complete required project tasks.
General Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple projects in various stages of completion and of different sizes and
complexities from the beginning of the design phase through construction
- Oversee project schedules, coordinate with the clients and other engineering disciplines,
and be the primary point of communication
- Coordinate with internal and external project team for production of construction
documents, including design of construction details, code reviews, and quality control
review
- Lead & direct structural technicians and other structural engineers
- Perform primary day-to-day engineering tasks and calculations, coordinate structural
system layouts, and coordinate details and specifications
- Perform other general construction admin duties including site visits and shop drawing
review, etc…
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Architectural Studies, or similar, from an ABET accredited school; Master’s degree preferred, but not required.
- 7-8 years minimum working experience in structural engineering or design
- Registered Professional Engineer in Wisconsin highly preferred
- Experience with concrete, steel, wood, and masonry (foundation and framing systems)
