Job Summary
- Appropriate specimen collection and corresponding orders for diagnostic testing.
- Performance and appropriate documentation of diagnostic testing.
- Accurate and timely reporting of diagnostic testing.
- Performance and interpretation of Quality Control/Calibration and participation in all quality assessment/improvement activities.
- Maintaining clinical competency through on-going education and professional development.
- Demonstrating knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer’s status. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department.
Education and/or Experience
- Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
- Minimum: Clinical internship/education as part of Associate Degree Program.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- National Certification: MLT (ASCP) or equivalent.
- Certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire date.
Work Schedule
- Varied shifts as needed; PRN
- Between 7:30 am - 8:00 pm on weekdays
- 7:30 am - 3:00 pm on weekends

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
