Strategic Client Consultant (remote is an option)
As a Consultant at Eastport, you will be instrumental in driving mission impact for our clients through effective leadership and proactive client engagement. This role requires close collaboration with clients and Eastport stakeholders to identify mission priorities and desired outcomes. Together, we will continually assess client needs, deliver valuable insights, and implement effective solutions. This position reports directly to the Director of Client Services and does not have supervisory responsibilities.
In this role, you will:
- Serve as the primary consulting lead, collaborating closely with clients to assess and define analytical objectives and to facilitate the implementation of effective solutions. Actively engage in decision-making processes with clients to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to maintain and expand client relationships, deliver insights, manage expectations and desired outcomes.
- Serve as first point of contact for clients, respond to requests, and provide regular status updates.
- Collaborate with the Director of Client Services and CEO on the development and implementation of the Eastport corporate client strategy.
- Identify, capture, and execute on organic business opportunities with existing clients. Collaborate with other Eastport key stakeholders on proposal development activities, including contract proposals.
- Work with solution architects to define and deliver innovative analytic solutions to clients.
- Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to translate discovery results into mission impact for clients.
- Work alongside technical project managers to develop, execute, and implement project milestones, timelines, and budgets.
As an ideal candidate, you will have:
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of customer and corporate organizations, including both informal written and verbal communications and formal briefings, reviews, and control gates.
- Demonstrated success in developing and growing client relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret data to derive actionable insights and effectively articulate complex data-related concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and build constructive working relationships with co-workers and clients.
- Relevant undergraduate degree in business and/or analytics discipline preferred.
- 6+ years of business analytics consulting experience preferred.
- Experience working closely with clients while tackling a high level of uncertainty, multiple stakeholders & tight timelines.
- Experience allocating resources, developing and managing project plans, resources plans, processes and schedules.
- Hands on experience with end-to-end data and analytics insights delivery preferred.
- Experience with any of the following:
- Government Contracting with Departments of Treasury, Justice, or Homeland Security.
- Understanding of data analytics, data science and enterprise-level application development.
- Dashboarding tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Live within driving distance from DC metro area. Note, this position has the option to work remotely with expectations of meeting with clients as needed in DC vicinity.
- US Citizenship or LPR status with at least 3 consecutive years of living in the US since obtaining your LPR status. Unfortunately, this is NOT an option. You must be able to successfully pass a background investigation conducted by the government client and able to obtain a security clearance at a Public Trust level.
The estimated base salary for this position is $114,000.00 to $162,000.00 (annualized USD). This job is also eligible for bonus pay and a competitive benefits package. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
