As an Operational Client Services Associate in a financial firm, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations and exceptional client service delivery. You will be responsible for managing client accounts, facilitating transactions, resolving inquiries, and collaborating with internal teams to meet client needs. Your primary objective will be to maintain strong client relationships and provide timely and accurate support in a fast-paced financial environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Client Account Management: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, operationally managing their accounts and ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
2. Transaction Processing: Facilitate client transactions, including transfers and account maintenance, while adhering to internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
3. Client Inquiries and Issue Resolution: Address client inquiries, resolve problems, and aid regarding account balances, transaction history, and other service-related matters.
4. Client Onboarding and Documentation: Assist in the onboarding process for new clients, including account setup, gathering necessary documentation, and explaining account features and services.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various internal teams, such as operations, compliance, and investment advisory, to address client needs and ensure seamless service delivery.
6. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records of client interactions, transactions, and account activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
7. Client Education: Proactively educate clients on available products, services, and technology platforms to enhance their overall experience and promote self-service options.
8. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline operational processes, enhance efficiency, and improve the client experience.
9. Compliance and Risk Management: Adhere to regulatory guidelines and internal compliance policies, ensuring all client-related activities follow industry standards.
10. Stay Informed: Stay updated on industry trends, financial markets, and relevant regulatory changes that may impact clients or the firm's operations.
11. Ensure all client interactions adhere to the firm’s service standards and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications:
· Degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
· Previous experience in a client services or operations role within the financial services industry is highly desirable.
· Strong understanding of financial products, investment vehicles, and basic investment concepts.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external clients.
· Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Proficiency in using financial software systems and Microsoft Office applications.
· Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices is highly desirable.
