Job description
We are looking for a skilled IT Support Engineer to assist with infrastructure software & infrastructure hardware design and implementation from an integration perspective, as well as support in the identification and resolution of IT issues. You will own the appropriate security analysis, cyber security defenses and countermeasures at each phase of the physical and virtual infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Implement, test and support Active Directory and supporting IT systems
- Support Azure, AWS and Linux based cloud servers
- Perform on-going security testing audit reviews to improve systems security
- Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise from patch deployments either hardware or software
- Provide documentation for new software & infrastructure solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities
- Contribute to all levels of the architecture including infrastructure & software stacks
- Maintain technical documentation & produce documentation for audits
- Consult team members on secure practices and training
- Develop a familiarity with new tools and best practices
- Work to maintain organizations HIPAA Compliance & Achieve annual HITRUST Certification levels
- Manage SIEM systems - Splunk, syslogng
- Manage Palo Alto Firewall systems
- Manage PureStorage Storage Appliances
- Manage Active Directory with Azure connectors
- Manage Microsoft365 deployments
Skills
- Proven work experience as an Systems Administrator
- Detailed technical knowledge of techniques, standards and state-of-the art capabilities of Enterprise IT infrastructure systems
- Adequate knowledge of web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services and Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols
- Interest in all aspects of cyber security research and development from a hardware and software perspective.
- Ability to communicate with end users and troubleshoot complex problems while managing expectations
- Detailed documentation style & ability to present to others.
- Degree in Computer Science or related field desired
- Certifications are a plus
- Several years of real world experience supporting IT infrastructures
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
