We are looking for an Implementation (IMPL) Database Administrator contractor to join our team and contribute to maintaining and providing critical support for our production customer data. Working under the guidance of our Sr. IMPL Database Engineer, you will be responsible for executing tasks independently, leveraging your expertise in SQL, scripting languages, and SSIS packages. Your primary focus will be performing highly sensitive modification of live production data in our SQL databases to answer customers’ requests and rectifying data related issues to ensure accuracy and reliability of our products and platform.
Project focus in the next 6 months:
- Enabling Self-Service IMPL: Support our Sr. IMPL Database Engineer and API Engineer in creation of an API to enable Partner Success the ability to perform straightforward IMPL tasks themselves;
- Respond to IMPL Requests: With guidance from the product manager overseeing IMPL work, take on tasks from Partner Success team to modify production data, ensuring backups are created and data accuracy is maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform data validation and verification tasks to ensure data integrity;
- Collaborate with partner success and development teams to understand data issues and provide timely resolutions;
- Develop and maintain SQL scripts for routine data maintenance and correction tasks.
- Monitor database performance and implement optimizations to ensure efficient operation;
- Maintain detailed documentation of data correction processes and changes made to the production environment;
- Provide technical support for database-related issues, including troubleshooting and performance tuning;
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.
Qualifications:
- Five (5) or more years of hands-on experience in database administration or a similar role;
- Proven expertise with SQL Server 2012+ and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS);
- Proficiency in T-SQL and experience with a scripting language such as C#;
- Strong understanding of designing and updating relational database models;
- Experience creating and managing stored procedures, functions, and SSIS packages, including package deployment;
- Familiarity with Postman for API work and experience with MongoDB;
- Proficiency in using Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio 2019, Microsoft Excel, and optionally, Microsoft R Client;
- Experience with Git/Bitbucket for source control;
- Independent work style with strong problem-solving skills;
- Strong customer focus and excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
