Summary: Mentis, a private non-profit agency in Napa County, is looking to hire a mental health therapist to work in our youth programs. . Services in this program will be provided in the community, home, or clinic setting, depending on client’s accessibility needs, including at Napa Valley College.
The position requires a master’s level trainee at minimum, while a degree or clinical license in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology is preferred. The agency offers supervision for trainees and interns that are seeking clinical hours toward graduate program or licensure. We provide individual supervision and group consultation on a weekly basis. This job is a great opportunity to enjoy clinical work with a supportive interdisciplinary team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provides direct mental health services to individuals and families, and group therapy sessions.
· Provides case management and care coordination within family team context.
· Provides services on-site per the youth need. Services may be implemented in the school setting, home setting, youth detention facility, or at our Clinic location.
· Provides complete and timely required documentation to support services rendered, including: assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
· Participates in the collection of mental health information and client outcome data to be used for monitoring the overall performance and effectiveness of services provided.
· Manage an active caseload of 50% client contact and 50% documentation/collateral contacts/coordination of care.
· Ability to work from home on Wednesdays, with the exception of the first Wednesday morning of the month when all agency staff meeting is held.
· Attend regularly scheduled team meetings with agency and community partner staff to coordinate care for youth.
· Participate in weekly supervision and/or clinical case consultation meetings.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
· Knowledge of techniques and principles of individual, family and group therapy in addition to experience using evidenced based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and trauma informed care interventions.
· Knowledge of community resources throughout Napa County.
· Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
· Maintain professional and ethical standards
· Comfortable with Microsoft Office programs and electronic communication methods, as well as web-based databases.
· Ability to work as part of a team within the agency, and collaborate with community partners.
· Organized and ability to complete documentation accurately and on time.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Master’s program Trainee in counseling, social work, or psychology. Completion of Master’s degree preferred.
· Registered intern or license eligible by the California State Board of Behavioral Sciences as social worker, marriage family therapist, psychologist, or professional counselor preferred.
· Experience working with kids, ideally in community settings, is a plus.
· Ability to be flexible in a variety of work settings.
· Experience with Medi-Cal billing is a plus
