Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team. As a Physical Therapist, you will work with patients to help them regain movement and manage pain after an injury or illness. Your expertise in patient care and knowledge of various therapeutic techniques will be crucial in providing effective treatment and improving the quality of life for our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' medical histories and physical conditions
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on individual needs and goals
- Implement therapeutic exercises and techniques to improve mobility, strength, and range of motion
- Provide manual therapy, including trigger point therapy, to relieve pain and promote healing
- Educate patients on proper body mechanics and exercises for at-home care
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy
- Experience in acute care settings, preferably in a hospital environment
- Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics
- Excellent communication skills to effectively explain treatment plans and instructions to patients
- Empathy and compassion for patients undergoing physical therapy
- Strong problem-solving skills to address individual patient needs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
