General Maintenance
Looking for a maintenance career that will invest in your future? College of Saint Mary is seeking
motivated individuals to join our Maintenance team. This position will include all facets of the day-to-
day needs of a 65-acre property and its many different buildings.
We are willing to assist the right person with hands-on training. The college may also be willing to invest
in the forward progress of becoming promotable to a stationary engineer position, and more. Potential
benefits could include reimbursement of the fees for classes and materials necessary to pursue a City of
Omaha 3rd grade engineers license upon the successful completion of 1-year of provable experience
around boilers and passing the required test. College of Saint Mary may also extend the offer of
reimbursing additional classes to obtain certifications or licenses related to maintaining the campus.
This Position:
• Determines defects in, repairs, and maintains heating, water, and drainage systems in
commercial and residential settings.
- Repairs or replaces plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets and faucets.
- Mends or replaces plumbing pipes, tests joints and pipe systems for leaks.
- Opens clogged drains.
- Performs general maintenance to include basic electrical, painting, minor construction tasks and
other requests made as needed on campus.
- Assists with snow removal during winter months. Assists with mowing during summer months.
- Assists with other tasks assigned to the Facilities Department through the work order system.
