We are looking for a Production Equipment Manager onsite at our San Diego location.
The Production Equipment Engineer is responsible for the maintenance of production equipment and equipment verification in an ISO 13485 compliant manufacturing facility. Assigned tasks will be conducted in both routine and non-routine conditions.
Some Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparation of equipment operation documents.
- Responsible for the acceptance, daily maintenance, and the on-time repair of production equipment.
- Maintain equipment account, maintenance record and malfunction maintenance record of production equipment. Improving archives management.
- Responsible for IQ\OQ of equipment in production, R&D and other related Dep.
- Responsible for new equipment which includes: Installing, debugging, conducting IQ/OQ verification, compiling operation documents on new equipment and training production workers.
- Assist in the maintenance of production infrastructure (water, electricity, gas, etc.).
- Train and supervise the operators about standard operation on equipment. Adjust and optimize equipment operation procedures.
Complete other tasks as assigned.
Education and /or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering; and
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in equipment maintenance in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- English fluency required. Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.
- Ability to develop/conceptualize system requirements, electro-mechanical assemblies, error budgets, and designs based on conventional/unconventional design of automated fluid handling and high–sensitive analytical optical measurements;
- Must be proficient using Solidworks to create 3D part/assembly model and detail fabrication drawings;
- Experienced with mechatronics, precision motion system using stepper motors and/or BLDC motor systems is a plus;
- Basic understanding of electronics and real-time control firmware;
- Understand product configuration management, part numbering systems, and ability to put together and document a reasonable product structure;
- Computer literate with knowledge of product and ME design standards and processes (ASTM Y14.5, etc.);
- Conscientious of and possessing a positive attitude toward cross-functional design and project responsibilities, working with project management functions, establishing and meeting timelines; and
- Ability to manage projects, organize work priorities and interact effectively with other team members.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
