Grant Program and Event Coordinator
Overview:
As the Grant Program and Event Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the Foundation's mission to create positive change. Your work will ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of our grant and event programs, directly contributing to our impact. You will be a key player in supporting the Foundation Director in ensuring that projects are completed on schedule, enabling us to serve our community effectively.
The Grant Program and Events Coordinator will oversee incoming grant applications and act as the primary contact for potential grantees. This role demands strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities to ensure a seamless grant application process. Additionally, the Coordinator will manage our non-profit's education, training, and community engagement events, ensuring they are executed effectively and professionally.
This is a full-time position with an annual salary of $42,000 and the possibility of flexible hybrid work options for the right candidate. Additionally, we offer a generous PTO and benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
Grant & Program Support
Be the compassionate bridge between us and our grantees, ensuring timely and supportive communication.
Review grant applications and budgets, ensuring they align with our mission and comply with nonprofit law.
Monitor the progress of grants through their various stages and maintain detailed records of grants and performance information for regular reporting.
Analyze grant data and create insightful visualizations for the Foundation Director and Board Members.
Administration
Manage the day-to-day operations of our Foundation office, from mail management to scheduling appointments.
Handle phone and email inquiries with warmth and professionalism, ensuring every interaction reflects our values.
Coordinate, schedule, and attend key meetings, providing essential support and taking detailed minutes. Prepare all materials for Board of Directors and committee meetings.
Event Management
Collaborate with the Foundation Director to plan and organize impactful events from concept to completion.
Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure seamless event logistics.
Oversee event setup, execution, and teardown, ensuring every detail is handled with care.
Manage event registration and maintain accurate attendee lists and communication.
Marketing & PR
Work with the Foundation Director to create engaging marketing materials and newsletters.
Assist the Foundation Director in developing annual impact reports that compellingly tell the story of the Foundation's strategic priorities and projects.
Assist the Foundation Director with social media posts and engagement.
Qualifications:
Required:
Expertise in Microsoft Office suite and Google platform.
Strong computer skills, including an understanding of hardware & peripherals.
Proficiency in office administration
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Must be a self-starter and can work unsupervised and independently.
Must be highly organized and efficient
Desired:
Candidates who live in and/or are very familiar with Oswego County
Excellent relationship-building, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Associate’s degree or higher with training/coursework in business communication, office technology, or a related field.
Five years of experience in an office environment or equivalent experience.
Ability to work in a flexible, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
