SOAR (Social, Occupational, Academic, Recreational) is an licensed Adult Day Program serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
The direct support staff provides assistance and care to the developmentally disabled. The job description of a direct care worker requires patience, empathy, strong interpersonal skills, and a detailed knowledge of best care practices.
Position Description
At SOAR, direct care workers are called Job Coaches. Job Coaches provides a number of services depending on the needs of the individual.
Successful candidates can successfully pass a Live Scan fingerprinting background screening and drug screen.
