Job Description
1. Objective
The objective of this policy is to establish clear roles, responsibilities, and procedures for Construction
Project Managers (CPMs) to ensure effective project execution, adherence to safety and quality
standards, and efficient communication with stakeholders.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all Construction Project Managers within the organization and covers the
management of construction projects from initiation through to completion.
3. Roles and Responsibilities
3.1 Construction Project Manager (CPM)
Project Planning and Initiation
o Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, schedule, budget, and resource
requirements.
o Conduct feasibility studies and initial risk assessments.
o Define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
Project Execution and Monitoring
o Oversee the execution of construction projects, ensuring they stay within budget and on
schedule.
o Utilize project management methodologies and tools.
o Monitor project progress and performance using Microsoft Projects
o Manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
Team Leadership and Coordination
o Lead and coordinate project teams, promoting effective collaboration and
communication.
o Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members.
o Facilitate regular team meetings and project updates.
Stakeholder Management
o Maintain regular communication with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other
stakeholders.
o Provide periodic status reports and updates to stakeholders.
o Manage stakeholder expectations and promptly address any concerns.
Documentation and Compliance
o Ensure all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible.
o Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
o Maintain detailed records of all project activities, decisions, and changes.
Project Closure and Evaluation
o Conduct project closeout meetings and prepare project completion reports.
o Evaluate project outcomes against defined objectives and success criteria.
o Document lessons learned and best practices for future projects.
3.2 Project Team Members
Collaborate with the CPM to execute assigned project tasks.
Report progress, issues, and risks to the CPM.
Adhere to project schedules and quality standards.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
