Our client is a large organization in the healthcare space that is building out its team to undergo a tech transformation. They are looking for a Medical Assistant who will be an essential member of the healthcare team, providing vital support to physicians and nurses in delivering comprehensive and compassionate care to patients of all ages. This is an onsite position based in Greenwich, CT.
Medical Assistant (Primary Care)’s Responsibilities and Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures, including updating medical history, verifying demographics, and collecting insurance information.
- Escort patients to examination rooms, obtain vital signs, and record accurate medical histories and chief complaints.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Perform basic medical procedures such as phlebotomy, electrocardiograms (EKGs), wound care, and medication administration as directed.
Medical Assistant (Primary Care)’s Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant program preferred.
- Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) required.
- Previous experience in a primary care setting or similar healthcare environment is beneficial.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, electronic health records (EHR/EMR), and basic computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
