Job Overview:
Healthy Futures, a trusted Denver-based clinic specializing in primary care and abortion care, is seeking a dedicated Nurse to join our compassionate team. The Nurse will play a crucial role in providing exceptional abortion care services while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This position requires strong clinical skills, a commitment to patient-centered care, and the ability to work in a supportive team environment. This position will also oversee the clinical care provided by medical assistants and the policies and protocols of the clinical care for abortion care including overseeing quality control.
Duties:
- Oversee clinical care provided by medical assistants to ensure adherence to protocols and patient care standards.
- Perform ultrasounds to confirm pregnancy and assess gestational age in the first and second trimester.
- Place intravenous lines (IVs) and administer IV sedation under physician supervision.
- Assist physicians during abortion procedures up to 22 weeks gestation, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Provider Ultrasound guidance during abortion procedures.
- Provide counseling on medication abortion.
- Provide options counseling for patients seeking abortion care.
- Processing products of conception.
- Monitoring patients in the recovery room and reviewing discharge instructions.
- Drawing and ordering labs.
- Answer phones, schedule patient appointments, and communicate test results to patients.
- Manage instrument processing and sterilization procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
- Implement and oversee quality control measures for clinical care and sterilization processes.
- Manage CLIA control testing and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate abortion funds reporting and tracking.
- Develop and implement protocols for abortion care services.
- Order and maintain inventory of supplies and medications.
- Maintain and update automated patient messages and instructions through Klara.
- Ensure trauma-informed and patient-centered care practices are consistently applied.
Experience:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in reproductive healthcare or gynecology.
- Experience with ultrasound, IV placement, and IV sedation administration preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide compassionate patient care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a diverse team.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and confidentiality in patient care.
- Bilingual

Pay: $70,976.05 - $85,476.53 per year
