About You
You have a passion for our mission, Human Resources knowledge in all areas of human resources, including building a great culture, recruitment, policy implementation, employee relations, solid technical aptitude, extremely organized, can-do attitude, and enjoy working collaboratively.
About The Role
The Human Resources Generalist will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Vice President of People and Culture, assisting with various human resources initiatives. This role encompasses promoting a "best place to work" culture, administering policies and ensuring compliance, managing new hire onboarding and off-boarding processes, supporting recruitment efforts, and preparing presentation materials for training activities. Additionally, the HR Generalist will handle event planning and coordination, contribute to the culture committee, answer routine questions regarding HR policies and procedures, and assist with employee relations.
Essential Job Duties
Recruitment and On/Offboarding

Manage the new hire onboarding, new hire orientation, and off-boarding processes.

Assist with all cycles of the recruitment process and candidate coordination.
Performance Management & Training
-
Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities for staff.

Plan and prepare materials for training sessions and presentations.
-
Coordinate the performance management cycles, including communication, launching and closing each cycle and providing regular reporting during the program, as well as annual promotions and increases.
Employee Relations & Culture
-
Promote and implement "best place to work" culture initiatives.
-
Work with all departments on organizational culture and engagement initiatives, including internal communication, recognition and celebrations, succession planning and internal promotions.

Organize and coordinate events, including those led by the culture committee.
-
Organize and facilitate the monthly organizational meeting, fun day, etc.

Assist with employee relations conversations and documents.
-
Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation, and conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
HR Administration
-
Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or more sensitive matters to the Vice President of People and Culture.

Maintain all HR files, including employment files, in electronic and/or physical form.

Generate reports and metrics when needed for HR, Finance, etc.
Compliance
-
Develop and update HR handbook and other policies and procedures to reflect organizational culture, best practices and ensure compliance with legal requirements.

Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and data integrity.

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices.

Make recommendations to improve the functionality of the HR processes system.

Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of HR data.
General

Contribute to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adhere to department policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety standards.

Maintain current professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks, and participating in professional associations.

Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality improvement.

Qualifications

BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field.

3+ years of Human Resource experience including employee relations and recruiting experience.

Detail-oriented and has exceptional multi-tasking, organization, prioritization, and planning skills.

Be adaptable to change and demonstrate flexibility in handling various HR tasks. The HR team often needs to respond quickly to evolving situations and priorities.

Ability to hold confidential and sensitive information with the utmost integrity.

Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
-
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as strong EQ.

Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to an evolving environment.

Self-motivated with the ability to be flexible to meet client group needs and project deadlines.

Ability to work through a problem with limited information and collaboratively drive towards solutions.

Experience interacting with employees at various levels of the organization while providing exceptional and professional customer service at all times.
