Job Description:

Evaluate AI technology opportunities, perform market research, recommend AI platforms, and provide strategic objectives for AI use.

Thought Leadership: Work with NIA leadership to evaluate opportunities where AI technologies could add value to agency business processes.

Research and advise on potential ethical and legal challenges for use of AI in government.

Partner with stakeholders to build strategic objectives for use of AI.

Deliverables: Data gathering from stakeholders, Development Plans, Process Diagrams.

Artificial Intelligence Platform: Perform market research, evaluate technical feasibility of AI platforms, perform “alpha” testing of AI platforms, and recommend potential AI platforms for use at the NIA.

Critical Thinking & Analysis: Solve problems, think critically, and analyze user feedback or requirements.

Analyze problems and logically break down into sizable portions which can be presented to development teams or clients for consideration.

Deliverables: Flow Charts, Diagrams.

Digital White boarding Tools: Use a variety of digital white boarding tools (Visio/ Adobe XD / PowerPoint / Figma, etc.) in order to help provide users with a centralized point of reference in virtual meetings to help generate discussion and feedback.

Utilize these tools on the fly in meetings quickly and adapt to user input to adjust and make changes in real time.

Use meetings or other collaboration methods to generate documentation from diagrams or flowcharts.

Deliverables: Flow Charts, Diagrams.

DevOps: Administer Work Item Management platforms such as Azure DevOps by running meetings, creating and running queries, and keeping work items up to date within the platform to help ensure teams are on track.

Deliverables: Up to Date Work Items, Azure DevOps Queries.

Documentation & User Guides: Develop pertinent documentation and user guides for NIA applications to be used and referred to by fellow developers or NIA Staff.

Communication Skills / Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate with teams to iterate on ideas beneficial to the institute. Serve as a liaison between stakeholders to clarify and articulate application design and implementation.
