Waypoint BHS is currently hiring Behavior Technicians for In-Home Arlington location.
We seek a dedicated and compassionate (R)Behavior Technician to join our in-home team. As an RBT with Waypoint, you will work directly with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. You will implement behavior intervention plans designed by BCBAs, and the ultimate goal will be to improve the quality of life for our clients by helping them develop life skills.
RBT Responsibilities:
Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a BCBA
Implement ABA principles
Collect and record data on client behavior
Strong clinical skills and DTT skills
Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions
Assist clients with daily living skills and social interactions
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other team members
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to obtain your RBT certification within 60 days of hiring
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
Strong observational and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping others
Physical requirements:
Ability to lift 30 pounds and perform physical activities such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
Comfortable working in various environments, including clients homes, schools, and community settings
