We are seeking a dedicated Telemetry Monitor Technician to provide indirect patient care by monitoring cardiac rhythms. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and contributes to performance improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac screens or telemetry monitors
- Communicate effectively with co-workers and healthcare providers
- Foster interdisciplinary communication for patient care
- Report dysrhythmias to the charge nurse and primary care nurse
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Run and post rhythm strips as scheduled
- Document and participate in performance improvement activities
- Provide verbal handoff communication at shift changes
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Monitor technician certificate (including successful completion of a dysrhythmia recognition course)
- Competency in interpreting dysrhythmias
- Proficient with computer systems
