What we are looking for:
Partner Forces is seeking a Graphic Designer to provide graphic design support to a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) client. This position will assist in product development, content creation and enhancement, and engagement support to senior federal leadership and community stakeholders. The ideal candidate is comfortable wearing many hats, enthusiastic about the mission of DHS, comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and eager to take on new challenges.
What you will do as a Graphic Designer:
- Provide graphic support to logos and curriculum materials to develop new curriculum and support the annual modification of curriculum.
- Provide media and graphics support, to include the development of new products as well as update of previously produced resources.
- Responsible for developing social media graphics, printable and digital flyers, e-mail and website banners, print and digital advertisements, charts and graphs, infographics, graphic reports, and other visual products as needed/directed.
- Verifying accuracy of technical documentation to ensure that it is complete, meets editorial and government specifications, and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, content format, and style format.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external personnel.
- Keep informed of the mission, organizational structure, key personnel, current activities, status of current projects, and any issues affecting the organization.
- Should have a strong work ethic, demonstrate initiative appropriate to the assignment with exceptional project management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Contribute to positive team culture and collaborative working environment.
Qualifications:
- US Citizenship required.
- Local to the DC metro area.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DHS HQ suitability required; current preferred.
- BA/BS degree required.
- Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
- Have the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and comfort with ambiguity.
- Enjoy working in a highly collaborative and fast-paced team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Proficiency in photo and image-editing software, including Adobe InDesign and Canva.
- Drupal web content design experience preferred.
- 508 Compliance editing experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Salary Range:
At Partner Forces, we consider many factors when making compensation decisions, reflecting the unique skills and experiences each candidate brings, as well as organizational and contractual needs. An estimate of the salary range for this role is $80,000 to $105,000. We believe that salary is just one component of your total compensation package.
