Private Client Select Insurance Services (PCS) provides personal insurance solutions for high-net-worth clients. Although the products are familiar to any property & casualty actuarial professional our customers’ personal insurance needs are unique and complex, providing for challenging analysis.
We are seeking an actuarial professional with industry expertise to support Personal Lines Pricing for products sold through PCS. The Supervising Actuary will be responsible for working with the product, underwriting, and compliance teams to develop and execute our rate plans and provide customized pricing support for unique risks. They will partner with other pricing actuaries in implementing best practices for analytical techniques.
Candidate must have skills to work within a team while contributing directly in select areas as needed. A background in property & casualty pricing is essential. Familiarity with personal lines – especially homeowners – is a plus. The candidate must be able to build effective relationships with our business partners and serve as a mentor for junior members of their team.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of pricing analysts
- Develop rating proposals, in partnership with the Product Management team
- Develop and support analytical tools for use in pricing and underwriting activities
- Produce state rate filings and respond to department inquiries and objections
- Ensure end-to-end quality in rating processes
- Provide customized pricing guidance to underwriters for unique risks
- Extract/review data quality and help build databases relevant to our activities
- Work closely with compliance team to support regular reporting needs
- Improve documentation of all procedures
What we’re looking for:
- BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related area
- 5+ years of actuarial experience; including mentoring or managing actuarial staff
- Property and Casualty Pricing Experience
- ACAS or FCAS preferred
- Proven track record in pricing, personal lines and/or high net worth experience preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong business and collaboration skills, and responsive to service needs and operational demands
- Proficiency in Excel required. SQL, R, or other similar programming languages preferred
- Effective time management and prioritization skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
