Job Summary
Responsible for deploying integrated solutions aimed at modernizing, consolidating, and coordinating the independently designed applications within and across the enterprises. Works with Management to provide vision, leadership, and direction to the Project Management Office (PMO) Program and Project Teams to meet organizational and business objectives.
Supports, and is responsible for incorporating into job performance, the Frederick Health (FH) mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy and adheres to the FH Compliance Program, including following all regulatory requirements and the FH Standards of Behavior.
Essential Functions:
- Monitor PMO best practice standards with effective alignment to organizational strategic direction.
- Manage or assist Project Managers with large, complex technology deployments or systems implementations like Priority Packs, etc. to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope of project.
- Monitor and report on project progress from initiation through delivery.
- Provide training on PMO Methodology and utilization of Smartsheet Tools.
- Track and provide reports on PMO resources to ensure effective project delivery and resource allocation.
- Build relationships, promote team building and improve communication between and among the PMO Project Managers and Key Stakeholders throughout the organization.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Provide guidance on project workflows including scoping, tracking and project lifecycle management.
- Participate in component and data architecture design, software product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations.
- Experience with project management tools and formal project management techniques.
- Good organizational skills. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
- Experience with resource management.
- Experience coaching, and/or mentoring team members
Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, or Information Technology. A master's degree is preferred.
- 4 to 6 years of experience of Project Management and/or PMO Experience.
- Project Management Certification strongly preferred or obtained within one year of hire.
Competencies:
- Technical proficiency including expertise in PMO methodologies and utilization of toolsets like Smart sheets, Teams and other PMO software.
- Project planning, risk management, time management and other project management skills.
