Turnkey concrete company that specializes in residential foundations and flatwork.
Position Purpose:
Immediate need for a seasoned Concrete Superintendent. You will be responsible for managing all concrete production for foundations and flatwork in multiple residential subdivision in the Houston and surrounding area.
General Responsibilities:
- Maintain Company Standards of Speed, Quality and Communication
- Responsible for the overall success of the projects in your assigned area
- Identify problems early and act immediately to provide solutions.
- Build and maintain healthy relationships with customers, vendors, office staff, management and trades
- Provide overall management of construction sites from lot scrape to frame stage
- Maintain existing procedures with the ability to recognize and implement more efficient processes
- Understand basic concrete principles such as concrete mix designs, admixtures, curing, cold and hot weather procedures for concrete placing and finishing
- Thoroughly understand and ensure accurate execution of plans
- Schedule and manage subcontractors
- Schedule pump truck, materials and concrete deliveries
- Communicate updates and impacts to schedule with Area Manager and customer on a daily basis
- Assist Office Staff with collecting field information needed to invoice and back-charge appropriately
- Work with vendors to manage quality, service, and communication.
- Manage all structural concrete work to include foundations, formwork placement, consolidating and finishing concrete best practices
- Ensure that work is completed safely, on time and within budget while keeping quality workmanship and customer's satisfaction
Qualifications
- Experience in concrete forming, finishing, and working with hand and power tools
- Knowledge of construction processes and materials
- Ability to read blueprints and follow construction plans
- Proficiency in tasks such as plastering, carpentry, roofing, and drywall installation
- Capability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor
- Mechanical knowledge and experience with construction estimating are a plus
- Familiarity with rebar installation, hardscape work, and operating a concrete mixer
- Skills in caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, and renovation projects are beneficial

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
