Job Summary
We are currently expanding our Business Development Team at Superior Transparent Noise Barriers, and have an opportunity to add a driven and self-motivated Business Development Associate. This individual will be responsible for the business development activities for the Central region of the USA.
Responsibilities
- Build market share by initiating, developing, and solidifying business relationships
- Cold call, present to, and meet with engineers, acoustical engineers, consultants, contractors & any other potential contacts to provide product awareness & technical information. 50% of travel time required in the designated territory
- Attend trade shows and participate in various industry functions and associations
- Provide dedicated support to the marketing function of the business
- Provide support to other related areas of the business such as estimating, sales and project management
- Help organize and participate in outbound marketing campaigns to generate sales opportunities
- Work with the internal team to propose the most effective and efficient engineered solution for the client
- Manage customer relationships to ensure satisfactory service standards are met
- Document, track and maintain customer interactions through internal CRM service
- Other duties as assigned by the manager
Qualifications
- 3-4 years of Business Development & Technical Sales experience required
- Experience in a similar business development role is an asset
- University or College education
- Prior experience in reviewing tender documents and information as part of the technical sales process is an asset
- Prior experience in the construction and building industry is an asset
- Prior experience with acoustics and noise control is an asset
- Prior experience with selling engineered solutions as opposed to commodities is an asset
- Must have the ability to grasp and apply new concepts quickly
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- Candidates must be detail oriented, punctual, highly organized, and able to demonstrate strong written and oral communication skill
