Irrigation Technician Role and Responsibilities
Position Overview: The Irrigation Technician plays a crucial role in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining irrigation systems, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of Two-Wire systems and proficient troubleshooting skills. The ideal candidate is capable of independent and efficient task completion, demonstrates proficiency in installing and programming controllers, and exhibits a basic understanding of electrical aspects related to irrigation systems. Beyond technical skills, the Irrigation Technician should be comfortable working outdoors in diverse weather conditions and ready to contribute to new installations.
Skills & Qualifications:
General understanding of Two-Wire systems for diagnosing and repairing issues.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and addressing faulty parts in irrigation systems.
Installation and programming expertise with controllers.
Basic electrical knowledge related to irrigation systems.
Timely task completion and independent work capability.
Strong verbal communication skills in English.
Possession of a valid US driver's license with a clean record.
A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in irrigation system maintenance.
Willingness to undergo pre-employment drug screening.
Adaptability to outdoor work in various weather conditions.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Responsibilities:
Perform Irrigation System Inspections:
Conduct thorough inspections of existing irrigation systems, diagnosing and troubleshooting Two-Wire systems and other components.
Provide detailed reports on inspection findings and recommended repairs, ensuring accuracy and thorough documentation.
System Repairs and Service Calls:
Execute timely and efficient repairs on faulty irrigation components, including valves, pipes, and controllers.
Respond promptly to service calls, addressing urgent issues and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Keep accurate records of service calls, repairs, and replacements.
Assist in New Installations:
Collaborate with the installation team to assist in the setup of new irrigation systems.
Ensure proper installation of controllers, valves, and other components according to specifications.
Verify the functionality of newly installed systems, promptly addressing any issues.
Utilize Company Software/Tools:
Effectively use company-provided software and tools for scheduling, reporting, and documentation purposes.
Stay updated on the latest technologies and tools related to irrigation system maintenance.

Compensation:
Pay: Pay can vary based on experience ($40,000 - $60,000)
