Job Overview:
The Gardener position is a crucial role on the Stoner&Co garden team. Gardeners are responsible for completing entry level plant work, including watering cannabis plants, as well as spraying and defanning.
Gardeners report directly to the garden management team, and have been fully trained on Stoner&Co procedures on defanning, trellising, transplanting, and harvesting cannabis plants. Gardeners assist with physical plant movement and provide direct support to senior gardeners and the garden management team. Gardeners are also familiar with operating and maintaining basic garden equipment.
Duties:
- Water cannabis plants according to company standards
- Assist with defanning maturing cannabis plants when required in the plant lifecycle
- Spray cannabis plants with defoliants to protect the plants as they grow
- Transplant cannabis plants into larger pots according to schedule to support plant development
- Shape and trellis cannabis plants in accordance with the official trellis and canopy training
- Assist with plant harvests, including cutting down plants and bringing them to cure as directed by the garden management team
- Understand and, as needed, apply the basic elements of garden climate control
- Handle any relevant tasks delegated to them by senior gardeners with appropriate guidance
- Work closely with and provide support to senior gardeners and the garden management team
- Follow Stoner&Co procedure and policies as described in the Stoner&Co employee handbook and the official garden handbook
Requirements
As members of the Stoner&Co team,gardeners must be over the age of 21, with a high school diploma or GED. Candidates chosen asgardeners are detail-oriented, task-focused, and have a passion for cannabis as a product and as a living plant. Due to the nature of the position, gardeners must be capable of lifting at least 25 pounds, and should be comfortable standing for extended periods of time.
Ideally, gardeners at Stoner&Co will have the ability to follow plant schedules, including light schedules, and have a basic understanding of the lifecycle of the cannabis plant and its needs at various stages in its lifecycle. Gardeners must be able to manage their time well, observe Stoner&Co safety procedures and standards, follow directions, and work independently as well as with a team.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
