**Job Overview:**
We are looking for an Accounting Manager to supervise and lead day-to-day activities of the accounting department. Accounting Manager responsibilities include developing, implementing and managing systems for receivables, payables, billing, analyzing information. Accounting manager will interact with customers, vendors and other internal departments.
**Responsibilities:**
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
- Month-end accounting close and processes
- Accounts receivable
- Accounts payable
o Deposit and banking activity
o Communicate effectively with HR
o Maintain professional banking relationships
o Oversee credit process, including references, research and decision making
o Maintain files and comply with record retention requirements
- Manage Reception area and phone coverage
- Prepare new customer paperwork and other accounting documentation, as needed monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
- Provide recommendations
- Improve systems and procedures
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Meet financial accounting objectives
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
- Maintain professional banking relationships
- Process new customer credit references and assign credit limits and terms
- Conduct regular team meetings, foster discussion, and share updates
- Engage customers and vendors to build strong working relationships
- Establish and build strong working relationships with business leaders at all levels
**Experience:**
- Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
- Organized and strong analytical with problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with technology and willingness to learn more
- Enthusiastic and creative leader, able to inspire others
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be highly motivated and have the ability to function independently and multi-task
- Possess well-developed interpersonal and communication, verbal, and written skills
- Ability to direct and supervise
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance
