Administrative Assistant - Public Accounting
Johnson O’Connor is a regional Public Accounting Firm located outside of Boston in Wakefield, MA. We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team.
The Administrative Assistant Role is responsible for learning the specific administrative activities common to a public accounting firm and applying their administrative skills to efficiently process client work, provide administrative support to individuals inside the Firm, and assist with internal Firm administrative tasks and projects. While some Administrative Assistants are assigned specific areas of expertise, we are looking for an administrative assistant who will work to become cross-trained to handle firm administrative duties.

Specific responsibilities include:
- Assigned as Administrative Assistant to specific partners
- Processing of client deliverables (tax returns, financial statements, etc.)
- Processing of client billing
- Handle correspondence, mail, email, phone calls, and ad hoc requests
- Scanning of client material
- Cross-trained as back-up for other Administrative Team members
- Other duties, as assigned
A successful candidate will have experience working in an administrative setting in a public accounting firm, strong communication skills, experience with technology, a friendly attitude, and ability to build relationships. He/she will also have the ability and desire to continually improve administrative skills, be a co-operative team player, and is interested in developing Firm processes for better efficiency and effectiveness.

- Knowledge of Profx Tax and Engagement and Adobe Acrobat is a plus
