Job Profile Summary:
The Account Partnership-Specialist is responsible for assisting in the overall operation of the third-party sponsor direct bill process. The Account Partnership-Specialist will support new and continuing students who are enrolling at WGU from one of our direct bill partners. They will serve as a liaison between students, sponsors and WGU to receive timely payments and answer questions. Specialists will ensure compliance with university, state, and federal regulations along with standard accounting procedures. The role supports student retention, graduation, and student satisfaction goals.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Support the established direct bill invoicing process for all third party sponsored students.

Responsible for tracking and preparing student invoices, while adhering to WGU deadlines and policies.

Serve students with billing and accounts receivable questions and troubleshoots issues.

Manage internal and external communication regarding sponsorship letters, tuition payments, and account balances.

Maintain appropriate and timely communication with students within the Customer Relationship Management system.

Work closely with various stakeholders on escalated student account issues.

Responsible for all inbound and outbound calls within the PureCloud phone system.

Communicate with vendors and other third-party affiliates to reconcile and coordinate the student’s account.

Ensure efficiency and accuracy of records.

Adhere to compliance with university, state and federal regulations and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate Degree

Requires a minimum of 1-2 years of accounting, customer service, collections and/or general office experience.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:
Pay Range: $18.79 - $27.25
