Cascades Job Corps is a Residential Trade Program for under-privileged youth ages 16-24. Our LPN positions are in the clinic, working with a team to administer medication, do intakes for new students, and general wellness for up to 300 students.
NO WEEKENDS, NO OVERNIGHTS, MONDAY-FRIDAY.

Position Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Full-time and Part time positions open

FLSA STATUS Non-Exempt
Primary Position Objectives Assist the Health and Wellness Director in planning, implementing, and evaluating an efficient wellness program consistent with the students’ needs and Job Corps goals and objectives. Provide nursing services.
- Perform duties under the supervision of the Health and Wellness Director
- Responsible for ensuring doctor’s orders are followed in the Wellness Center and the care of all patients as prescribed
- Maintain charts on all patients and compile medical and dental records of terminated students
- Notify residential personnel of released patients
- Maintain a record of all admissions and dismissals
- Compile various logs, records and reports; for example, wellness use, examinations and medication use
- Maintain a record of all calls to on-call medical personnel
- Dispense prescribed medication
- Assist with cursory examinations, sick call and wellness care
- Serve as on-call nurse when scheduled
- Work to ensure performance management standards are met
- Ensure that required property (equipment) controls are adhered to
- Maintain current knowledge in CPR and First Aid
- Ensure that a clean and safe health facility is operated at all times
- Monitor area of responsibility to ensure timely and high quality services
- Work toward meeting performance standards goals
- Follow CDSS plan and Code of Conduct system daily
- Adhere to required property control policies and procedures
- Comply with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulation, Quality Assurance Plan. (QAP), LifeSkills Connection’s policies and procedures, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate and abide by LifeSkills Connection’s core values and operating principles
- Help students become more employable through continuous reinforcement
- Maintain good housekeeping in all areas and comply with safety practices
- Model, mentor, monitor appropriate Career Success Standards
- Participation in PRH mandated staff training is mandatory; Failure to participate may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination
- Perform other duties as assigned

Experience:
- Must have a valid license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
