JOB SUMMARY
Transportation and Distribution Supervisor directly supervises and coordinates the activities of the Transportation and Distribution representative team in accordance with PathGroup's compliance policies and procedures, and supervising day to day functions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Support PathGroup's mission, vision, goals and management decisions.
- Provide leadership and supervise the Transportation and Distribution department, make decisions, solve problems, develop procedures, and conduct and attend meetings.
- Manage employee hiring process including developing and updating job descriptions, developing performance expectations, identifying essential functions and knowledge, skills and abilities required for applicable positions and selecting and assigning staff.
- Responsible for new employee orientation processes, employee training and continuing education.
- Manage employee performance by coaching, counseling, motivating, and evaluating employees on a continual basis. Implement disciplinary action as needed and in consultation with Human Resources.
- Ensure effective employee relations by sustaining an ethical, non-discriminatory and safe work environment and establishing effective communication lines and methods. Identify and solve employee problems, manage conflict, and respond to grievances as needed.
- Develop and implement procedures to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction and to increase the productivity and accuracy in the department.
- Assist in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities and customers' satisfaction opportunities for the department.
- Develop or modify work plans, methods and procedures, determine work priorities and develops schedule to provide adequate staff coverage to ensure prompt and accurate pick up/delivery of all service requests for customers and other transportation activities as required by the needs of the company and the customer base.
- Researches, compiles, and creates reports from databases and spreadsheets.
- Support internal and external customers for transportation resources as necessary to best meet their needs.
- Interact with transportation carriers as necessary to communicate company requirements and support corporate goals.
- Direct day-to-day transportation functions to ensure accurate and timely completion of work.
- Evening and weekends on call coverage as assigned.
- Responsible for investigating and resolving transportation services concerns.
- Maintains company fleet.
- Perform all job responsibilities in alignment with the industry's best security practices and regulatory guidelines to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information and other sensitive company data.
- Must be familiar with and abide by the Corporate Compliance Program and all Corporate policies, including the Privacy and Security policies.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work with other departments within PathGroup and subsidiaries.
- Nothing in the job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.

EDUCATION & LICENSURE:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Two to four years of prior job-related experience is required.
- Previous experience in dispatching and scheduling required.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Experienced in the use of mapping software is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
