Our company is an established full service restaurant that is in the process of a remodel and we are looking to add someone to the management team so that the owner can retire. This position would be a partnership as a general manager position, with a focus in the kitchen. Working directly with the other general manager to create and develop the restaurants direction and foster the business sustainability for the future, as well as creating a new menu, and making operational decisions as a team. Remodel will consist of a new bar and dining area. Working as a General Management team allows both managers to share tasks, allowing greater work-life balance and fosters collaboration through experience and new perspectives.
As a member of the management team, the Manager, is responsible for the daily operations of the entire restaurant, including restaurant appearance and presentation, customer experience, professional leadership and direction to all employees. This includes managing specific departments to ensure maximum guest satisfaction and profitability. Key responsibilities include; supervising kitchen staff, maintaining quality and consistency in food preparation, managing inventory and ordering supplies, implementing food safety standards, and collaborating with other managers to optimize overall restaurant performance.
Essential Functions
- Oversees all kitchen operations during scheduled shifts to include daily decision making, training and scheduling of entire kitchen staff, developing and directing while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness.
- Manages and monitors staff labor and checkout procedures throughout each shift
- Identifies operational opportunities by creating and implementing plans to address department areas and goals.
- Fosters a positive working relationship with all staff members to build maximum employee morale, productivity, and development. Ensures that the operational basics and standards are adhered to with total commitment and passion by providing direction and guidance to employees and implements appropriate disciplinary action when necessary.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the entire food and drink menu and its preparation.
- Responsible for achieving targeted financial results (employee scheduling, liquor/food orders, etc).
- Ensures all health inspections meet required state standards.
- Perform Open / Mid-Day / Closing duties
- Manage necessary equipment repair and maintenance issues
- Make hiring and termination recommendations with the other Manager
- Conduct weekly inventories to ensure that proper levels are stocked and to assess ordering patterns and changes
- Monitor and validate daily prep production
Qualifications
- Experience in a restaurant management role, FOH and BOH experience or the desire to gain experience in both.
- Proficient in the following areas of management: leadership, communication, staff mentoring & development, and quality of operations.
- Strong Interpersonal Communication Skills. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff with strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills.

Pay: $47,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
