POSITION: Warehouse Specialist
LOCATION: Bangor, MI
STARTING RATE: $21.30

JOB SUMMARY
This role is responsible for maintaining the flow of materials. This includes the picking or put-away of materials required to meet internal production needs as well as aftermarket customer sales orders. Other responsibilities will include the packaging and crating of Getman parts for outbound shipments in and providing general support to other warehouse duties. This role also participates in and supports improvement initiatives and projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Route items from the receiving area to the proper location within the warehouse.

Move work-in-progress parts through production operations utilizing material handling equipment when needed, including forklifts and cranes.

Prepare customer sales orders for outbound shipment, using power tools as necessary. This includes packing items into a box, crate, or other container using various packing materials (bags, paper, shrink wrap, cardboard boxes, heat treated skids, etc.).

Electronically enter all part transactions into ERP system (Epicor).

Bail all used cardboard from bailer.

Perform daily equipment safety inspections.

Dependable, stays productive and conducts work in a thorough and accurate manner.

Collaboratively works with Warehouse team and across other departments.

Efficiently completes tasks as assigned and or as directed by Supervisor.

Flexible in performing other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Zero to three years related experience and/or training.

Must possess overhead crane license or willing to obtain an overhead crane license within 60 days from hire date.
SKILLS, TALENTS/ CHARACTERISTICS

Powered industrial truck license.

Crane certified.

Skilled in safe use of power tools.

Strong attention to detail.

Basic ERP and computer skills.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.

Basic knowledge of production, shipping and receiving paperwork.

Capability to determine appropriate packaging technique and materials needed.

Strong construction capabilities applied in the building of crates, containers, and shipping boxes preferred.

Ability to move from task to task with ease.

Willingness to support other team members when needed.
